Many of our patients with high insulin also have other conditions that
we are able to successfully treat.
Type II Diabetes
Every Type II Diabetic patient has the Insulin Resistance Syndrome first, and then they develop diabetes as a result of the constant stress of increased insulin production which causes failure and malfunction of the islet cells, and thus adult onset diabetes. The Clinical Weight Management Center
program protects the insulin
producing cells and may prevent diabetes in a large percentage of obese
people.
Further, we are very successful in helping our diabetic patients
achieve great weight loss. Often, we are able to discontinue their daily
insulin as part of our clinically proven Metformin based program.
We welcome the opportunity to treat diabetic patients.
Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is seen in 65% of our patients. Our weight loss program
plays a crucial role in their improvement.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Sufferers of this condition have a history of ovarian cysts, increased
facial hair, obesity and infertility. One does not need to have all of these criteria to be identified as a PCOS patient. The drug we use, Metformin, is the treatment of choice for the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. (see research
report)
Fibromyalgia
Several of our patients have high insulin induced Fibromyalgia. We have
been amazed at the marked improvement in their symptoms as we lower
their insulin with our program.
Heart Disease and Hypertension
Half of all hypertensive patients have the Insulin Resistance Syndrome.
Our treatment for insulin resistance syndrome is also effective in
lowering cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotiens and
reducing the development of atherosclerosis - protecting against heart
disease and hypertension.
Cancer
High insulin has been implicated as a tumor growth factor in numerous malignancies. Our program lowers the insulin.
